In September of 2003, the Real Life Community of Faith in Morristown, OH hired a worship leader to develop a worship team, which would eventually evolve into a praise band. In the early months, the worship team led the service with "canned" music.
Over the next few months, the team worked on developing their musical talents; and by the Spring of 2004, they were leading full-band worship with a 25-minute set of new material on a weekly basis.
Soon, the band began receiving invitations to play at venues outside of the church. On July 9, 2004, they opened for Poor Man's Riches at the Chautauqua Festival in Bethesda, OH. Then, on July 25, 2004, they headlined the Christian Music Festival displaying the VietNam Veterans Memorial Moving Wall™ at Beallsville, OH, playing alongside Christian bands of various genres such as New Mercy and The Peacemakers. In January of 2005, RLB and their sister-band MegaLife, opened for the Christian Metal band The Pledge at the Solid Rock Youth Center in Newcomerstown, OH.
Although MegaLife is no longer active, RLB plays original material, as well as a variety of covers from their favorite Christian artists. RLB continues to lead worship every Sunday morning at the Real Life Community of Faith and accepts occasional bookings outside of the church.
